Looking to explore the world of animation? Get started with the 12 fundamentals of animation for only $12.
In this new 4-hour workshop, participants will explore the core concepts of traditional animation, focusing on both the technical and conceptual aspects that make animation a unique artistic medium. Participants will be introduced to key industry techniques and the foundational 12 Principles of Animation developed by
Disney, with practical examples. The session will conclude with animating a short scene using frame- by-frame techniques.
Each participant will animate a simple 2–3 second shot using one or more of the learned principles using accessible digital tools such as TVPaint, FlipaClip App, or hand-drawn methods, depending on available equipment.
